The great secret about the devil is that he cannot do anything. He can only send us thoughts. If we do not take into account these baits, then we will be safe.
The devil is like a dog tied by Christ’s resurrection. It depends whether we enter into his range.
Even if this happens, repentance gets us out. That’s why we must never cease to pray in order to keep in communion with God and never cease to repent in order to cut our ties with the devil.
